Walther launches Rotex RM8 air rifle

When world-renowned German arms manufacturer Walther launches a new air rifle, it means that shooting enthusiasts should sit up and take notice. This iconic manufacturer has taken a quintessential English style and added some classic tweaks of its own. The end result is the stunning Walther Rotex RM8, a precharged pneumatic (PCP) air rifle for hunting and for leisure-time shooters.

Among the features are an eight-shot, rotary metal magazine made of computer numerical controlled machined aluminium. It’s driven by a side-bolt that automatically cocks and loads pellets up to 9mm in length directly into the choked, 500mm Lothar Walther barrel.

The RM8 is available in .177-calibre with a velocity up to 985fps and .22-calibre with a velocity up to 820fps. The ergonomic stock, made by Minelli in Italy, offers an instinctive and defined grasp. The Rotex RM8 has an integrated cylinder with 230 bar pressure, built-in filling adapter and manometer (volume gauge), for a total weight (without scope) of 3.6kg.

Walther products are distributed in Australia by Frontier Arms.
