SSAA website update

2017 was a good year for the SSAA website, which has come to be an invaluable resource for SSAA members across Australia. Throughout last year we had more than one million visitors come to our website, with most of these visitors looking at more than one page. Many of these visitors were new, which supports the fact that interest is continuing to rise about the shooting sports and that more Australians are interested in giving our pastime a go.

Another interesting statistic was that out of these visitors 46 per cent were using desktop computers, 41 per cent used mobile devices and 13 per cent were tablet users. We have endeavoured to make sure our website is compliant with a variety of devices to make viewing as easy as possible.

Our YouTube channel SSAA TV is fast approaching more than two million views and our partnership with Wildlife Man David Ireland is bringing great content to SSAA TV. Hunting and other informative videos from the Wildlife Man have been popular and we will continue uploading a new video from the Wildlife Man each week for the foreseeable future.

While these results are pleasing to see, we are not getting complacent. Throughout 2018 we will continue keeping our members up to date and entertained about everything to do with the shooting sports. We are already getting excited about the shooting events at the Commonwealth Games in April as well as the many major firearm product releases still to come this year. Also, keep an eye out for the Australian Hunter 64, which will be released in early March.

With new content coming out all the time the best way to make sure you see everything is to subscribe to our Newsletter, like us on Facebook and subscribe to SSAA TV. Of course, checking in on the website from time to time also allows you to discover competitions, discipline information and any other news all in one place.
