For the first time the SSAA National Board has met at the new SSAA National Adelaide office. The new larger facilities mean we can now hold board meetings and other engagements in-house, rather than utilising other facilities, which can sometimes be expensive.
The National Adelaide office complements the National Sydney office, which is responsible for Accounting, Membership and Merchandise. The SSAA National Adelaide office on the other hand is home to our Media and Publications departments, which are responsible for the magazines and websites among many other things. The new office is also the home of our Wildlife Programs, which encompass SSAA Farmer Assist and other conservation and research endeavours, and the SSAA Legislative Action (SSAA-LA) department.
As well as being the home of SSAA-LA, the new set-up is developing an area which will become a place for online video production and room for a studio to produce content for our members. The building also has a space equipped for strategic discussions and meetings throughout the year when issues which confront law-abiding firearm owners occur.
SSAA National CEO Tim Bannister said the office makes us self-sufficient and is an excellent new home. “We are an adaptive organisation with plans to expand into the future. The new office space will allow us to do just that.”
