RSPCA under fire again

Victorian Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie is taking up the fight against the RSPCA as public discontent continues to grow for the organisation’s ongoing shift to extreme animal activists, rather than its traditional role as animal welfare advocates.

The Senator announced that she had written to the Queen requesting that the Royal seal be withdrawn from the organisation because of its ongoing vilification of rural communities and opposition to recreational hunting. The SSAA wrote to the Queen six years ago requesting this and fully supports Senator McKenzie’s move.

SSAA National is also assisting SSAA WA in preparing a submission for the current inquiry into the RSPCA WA branch. The inquiry comes after RSPCA WA’s recent public attack on recreational hunting, with a particular focus on the RSPCA’s changing ideology due to the infiltration of animal liberationists within the organisation.
