What has happened?
The Queensland state executive told SSAA Inc (National) on the 1st of June that it no longer required copies of Australian Shooter to be sent to Qld subscribers, coming into effect from the July edition.
Why has this happened?
In 2023, SSAA Qld started its own membership, and since then SSAA Inc has required SSAA Qld to send the names and addresses of the Queensland members subscribed to the print edition of Australian Shooter to the company that manages the distribution of the magazine. SSAA Qld have decided to no longer do this. Without current information, SSAA Inc is unable to print and post the Australian Shooter magazine to Queensland subscribers.
What does it mean for me?
If you are a SSAA member in Queensland, this means that you will no longer be receiving a physical copy of Australian Shooter unless you purchase a subscription separate to your SSAA Queensland membership, which you can do here.
SSAA Inc has made the decision to continue to allow SSAA Queensland members to read Australian Shooter digital for free online here until June 30th, 2026, after which a subscription will be required.
If you are in any other state, you don’t need to do anything. Your membership remains unchanged.
