Greens throw tantrum to avoid sitting with democratically elected SFFP MP

In a shameful display of intolerance and disrespect for the democratic system, New South Wales Greens MPs have refused to be seated with the newly elected Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party (SFFP) MP, Philip Donato. In a press release, the three Greens MPs including Jamie Parker, Tamara Smith and Jenny Leong resorted to schoolyard bullying behaviour, announcing that they do not want to sit with the new MP who won the seat of Orange in the recent by-election. Instead, in what can only be described as a childlike tantrum, they want Mr Donato to be seated with Labor MPs.

Ms Leong justified the immature response by saying Mr Donato should sit “with his Labor mates” due to Labor preferencing the SFFP over the Greens in the by-election. “Labor should be made to face the reality of electing a member that represents a party who are openly committed to repealing our effective gun laws and other policies that the Greens find abhorrent,” she said.

Mr Donato is the first SFFP representative to be elected to a Lower House position, winning the seat by a margin of 50 votes at the declaration of the poll. “I am humbled by the result and to be the seventh Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party representative elected nation-wide,” Mr Donato said.
