Abela’s and Horsley Park Gun Shops merge

The merging in April of Abela’s Gun Shop in Campbelltown with the Horsley Park Gun Shop – two of Sydney’s largest gunshops – is good news for shooters.

Talking to Australian Shooter magazine, Tony Abela, who is now proprietor of both stores, said: “Not only are we catering to shooters in the growing areas of western and south-western Sydney, but with two gunshops we can increase our buying power. That will reduce costs and we can pass that on to our customers.

“We will immediately increase the stock levels at the Campbelltown store and widen the range so that our customers will have the same choices at both stores.”

Tony said that the name of the Campbelltown store will remain the same – Abela’s Gun Shop – and customers will be served by the familiar faces they have come to know since the outlet opened more than three years ago.

“The only change customers will see when they walk into the store is a wider range of stock,” said Tony. “Campbelltown is well positioned for Sydney’s sprawling south-western housing developments and easily accessible to customers in the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and the ACT.”

The store reopened after the Easter weekend following a massive restocking.
