August 2020 - Australian Shooter

Our August cover story is a profile of ABC identity and successful competition shooter Liz Rymill who came to the sport using her husband’s shotgun for fun before realising she had a real talent for clay target shooting. In the third instalment on our feature on favourite rifle, scope and cartridge combinations, Senior Correspondent John Dunn outlines an interesting trio which was influenced by his father all those years ago. Firearms under review this month include the Akkar Churchill 828 shotgun, the upgraded Mossberg 464 Mariner lever-action rifle and the Sauer 100 Classic rifle which our reviewer reckons is “a real budget beauty”. Our other Senior Correspondent Rod Pascoe has put together an interesting article on how to boost your chances of selling your unwanted firearms on the SSAA Gun Sales website, so dust off those guns you no longer need, follow Rod’s tips and make a few bucks. Enjoy the magazine.
