SSAA Bananacoast Benchrest Championships

The 2016 SSAA Bananacoast Benchrest Championships were held at the Dairyville Range in Coffs Harbour from August 20 to 22. Entries were down this time, probably due to a surfeit of Benchrest competitions around the country, but 26 eager shooters still made the trip to participate. After a three-year trial, it was decided that this would be the last year for Coffs Harbour to hold the Experimental Class. The weather was fickle, with light winds early in the morning gusting to all over the range by 11am. Thanks must go to all the willing members who gave up their time to run these competitions. New South Wales won the State of Origin trophy with a score of .3035. The team consisted of Mitchell Tallar, Darren Parsons, Gary Hunt and Bill Jupp. Well done, guys. Beaten Queenslanders were Paul Sullivan, Robin Elton, Wayne Atkins and Ross Waugh, who totalled .3198. Other results were:
