The SSAA ACT Field Rifle Club held its Inaugural Field Rifle Rimfire Challenge on May 16, 2015. The day included three Rimfire Field Rifle matches. Competitors were greeted in the morning by an unfamiliar sight at this time of year on the Canberra range – the sun! The usual rain, wind, sleet, fog, snow and frost were conspicuously absent and the excellent conditions prevailed for the entire day.

There were a number of excellent scores and personal bests shot over the day. The standouts were Darius Krivanek, who scored 99/100 on two cards in the first match, and Luke Northey, who shot two personal bests in a row to put himself up into A grade.
