The 2023 Rifle Metallic Silhouette Nationals were hosted by Perth Rifle Metallic Silhouette Club at the Wanneroo Shooting Complex from 7 to 11 April 2023.

It was great to see so many made the effort to travel to WA for the competition, including representatives from NSW, QLD, ACT, SA and especially those that travelled from New Zealand. The Competition was well attended given the remoteness from the rest of Australia, and there were 66 competitors in total including 8 Juniors.

The Competition comprised:

• 80 Shot Air Rifle Silhouette;
• 80 Shot Rimfire Silhouette;
• 80 Shot Centrefire Silhouette; and
• 40 shot Rimfire Hunter and 40 Shot Centrefire Hunter Silhouette.

Weather conditions were generally ok for this time of year with exception of a storm which battered our competitors during the Centrefire Competition.

Thank you to Paul Dunn who organised and hosted the event as well as to all those who assisted in RO duties, scoring and catering. It was well run event and competitors were well looked after.

Results are as posted and congratulations to all those that took out their respective grades in each of the matches.
