2023 SSAA Lever Action Silhouette Nationals

The 2023 Lever Action Silhouette Nationals were hosted by Perth Rifle Metallic Silhouette Club at the Wanneroo Shooting Complex from 13 to 16 April 2023.

It was great to see so many made the effort to travel to WA for the competition, including representatives from NSW, QLD, ACT, and SA. The Competition was well attended given the remoteness from the rest of Australia, and there were 40 competitors in total, including 2 Juniors with many competitors backing up after a grueling 4 days of competition at the preceding RMS Nationals.

The Competition comprised:

  • 80 shot Rifle calibre;
  • 80 shot Pistol caliber; and
  • 80 shot Smallbore.

The Rifle calibre competition had to be postponed at the halfway mark, due to high winds toppling all the targets. This resulted in a marathon “True Grit” style 120 shot competition on the 2nd day.

Thank you to Paul Dunn and Dave Brougham who organised and hosted the event as well as to all those who assisted in RO duties, scoring and catering. It was well run event and competitors were well looked after. Also Thank you to PHMS for use of their range.

Results are as posted and congratulations to all those that took out their respective grades in each of the matches.
