2017 SSAA NSW Benchrest Hunter State Championships

The 2017 SSAA NSW Benchrest Hunter State Championships were held at the Dairyville Range at SSAA Coffs Harbour from May 6 to 9. There were 39 competitors over the four days and thanks to the hardworking crew, the event was once again a great success with all shooters enjoying the occasion.

During the competition a couple of Australian records were broken. Firstly, Robin Cox in Heavy Rimfire (HR) 50m shot a 250.24 on Sunday and in Hunter Class (HC) 100 yards Ken Eppleston notched a perfect 250.25 on Tuesday. So well done to both shooters. The level of competition was so great that the first five in both HR and HC received 500 patches.

The weather was good, cold early but mostly sunny for all four days, even if quite windy at times.
