2017 SSAA Bananacoast Benchrest Centrefire Championships
19-20 August 2017 - SSAA Dairyville Range
This year’s SSAA Bananacoast Benchrest Centrefire Championships were held from August 19 to 20 at the Dairyville Range at SSAA Coffs Harbour in New South Wales. There were 37 competitors on both days. However, no Experimental Class was held this year. The weather was diabolical over both days, extremely windy and cold, but even so some good scores were shot. General consensus was that everyone enjoyed themselves, so a big thank you goes out to all volunteers who helped over the week and weekend.
The State of Origin trophy was won by Queensland. The team consisted of Roger Marshall, Wayne Atkins, William Greer and Dave McKillop, who had a combined score of .2814. NSW were represented by Ann Brummell, Darren Parsons, Mitchell Tallar and Ean Parsons, whose combined tally was .2942. So congratulations to Queensland. The next round in this competition will be held at Springsure in Queensland.
