Event Program

The program will be conducted in accordance with SSAA Big Game Rifle Official National Rules, Issue No.4, 2016. Rules are available at:  www.ssaa.org.au/disciplines/big-game-rifle/Friday 17th June, Camping Set-up and Practice, Range 2:Camping Set-up from 10.00am, Range 2 available for practice 1.00pm – 3.00 pm.Time, circumstances, and competitor numbers permitting, Supplementary Event, Range 2:Event 1: Match 17.1.2    African Plains Rifle. (20 Rounds). Shooting sticks / slings required!Saturday 18th June, Rifle Events, Range 1:Rifle Scrutineering 8.00am. Briefing at 8.40am. Competition begins 9.00am.Event 2: Match 17.1.11. Pot Rifle (2). (15 Rounds).Event 3: Match 17.1.7.  Light Nitro / Hunting Class. (20 Rounds).Event 4: Match 5.3.1.    Special Snap.   (8 Rounds).Event 5: Match 5.3.3.    Group One. (20 Rounds).Event 6: Match 5.3.4.    Black Powder Express. (20 Rounds).Event 7: Match 5.3.2     Stalking Double Rifle. (14 Rounds).Big Game Rifle NSW State AGM, 5.00 pm, after cessation of Rifle matches, held at the meeting Room on Range 1.Sunday 19th June, Rifle Events, Range 1:Rifle Scrutineering 8.30am. Briefing at 9.15am. Competition begins 9.30am.Event 8:   Match 5.3.5           Stopping Double Rifle. (10 Rounds).Event 9:   Match 5.3.6. Group Two. (14 Rounds).Event 10: Match 5.3.8.   Group Three. (8 Rounds).Event 11: Match 5.3.7    Bore Guns and Rifles. (14 Rounds).Please note that the scheduling of events may be altered, pending final competitor numbers in each event.

Event Nominations

Nominations will only be accepted upon a duly completed nomination form, together with payment of the nomination fee of $70.00, covering entry to all events of the State Titles. Nominations for Juniors are half-price, ie: $35.00. Upon nomination, competitors will be squadded into shooting details. Please advise if you are sharing equipment with another competitor, and whom they are, so as we can ensure you are in separate details, and both have an opportunity to compete successfully.Nominations to be received by Friday, 3rd  June, 2022. Please email forms to either:Ben Doherty.            [email protected]Jon Branch              [email protected]Due to the cancellation of NSW BGR Titles events, and attempts to reschedule, since 2020, organisers would prefer entry payments to be made on the day of competition, in order to minimize inconvenience to all parties in the event of a COVID-19 cancellation.Please note that nominations received after Monday, 6th June will be accepted at the organiser’s discretion.The organisers reserve the right to adjust the programme to reflect any changes of circumstances, (such as inclement weather) that may occur over the course of the Championships.In order to comply with the COVID-19 restrictions prevailing at the time of event planning, all food and drink required by competitors will need to be self-catered. Please come prepared accordingly.
