IRB World Benchrest Qualifying Shoot

Fifty hopefuls headed to the SSAA second IRB World Benchrest Qualifying Shoot at Dairyville Range, Coffs Harbour on October 21 and 22, 2017. Despite the atrocious weather on Saturday and the diabolical wind on Sunday, the event earned worthy plaudits, with all competitors enjoying the schedule set out by the host club.

Thanks once again to the club’s loyal band of volunteers! Without their help these events just would not happen. The teams who qualified for the World Championships in Spain in 2018 are:

Congratulations to all the teams and best of luck in Spain. Special mention must be made of the performance of Grafton Junior Marley Blacklock, who came fifth overall. This was a great effort considering the conditions on both days. Second-placed Junior was Michael Selmes, who came in 10th overall while Caden Bardell was third in the Juniors and 18th on the ladder.

Special ‘250’ patches were awarded to Norm Bardell, Richard Lightfoot (2), Robin Cox, Brett Wilson, Neil Digweed (2) and Nic Ward (2).
