The Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia produces the Australian & New Zealand Handgun magazine annually. We are currently looking for new contributors to the magazine to write about all things handgun. Topics might include:
- New Pistols – reviews or experience with them in competition
- Historical pistols
- Ammunition and reloading information
- Military pistols – current and historical
- Competition tips
- Handguns of interest such as low production run models or prototypes that never made production
- Sights
- Handgun accessories
- Anything else you can think of handgun related.
You don’t need to worry that you might not be the most eloquent writer – we have editors that will help shape the article so that it reads well.
Finally, we pay for articles. They need to be around the 1,500 word or less range but we can accept more for a really good piece or shorter if that suits you. We can send you advice on how to write the articles and how to take pictures as well. We pay 30c a published word and $40 per published photo as well as $250 if one of your photos is chosen for the cover.
