Dear Members,
I knew running the story on Dan Repacholi would be controversial. I know many of you are angry at Dan and the Labor Party and with good reason. My approach is to give you the information I think you need, then let you make up your own mind. We’re all adults here and it’s not for me to tell you what to think or who to vote for.
As Australian Shooter is a print magazine, it’s important to note this interview was conducted and finalised prior to the tragic events in Bondi. The timing of publication is not always aligned with current events and I appreciate this context matters, given how quickly the conversation around firearms laws has shifted.
We’ll continue to run similar interviews with politicians from across the spectrum as often as we can. The aim is to give our members visibility of different viewpoints and allow you to assess them for yourselves. (And yes, Senator Bridget McKenzie , you’re more than welcome to a two-page spread as well.) I introduced the article with my reasons for publishing it, so if you haven’t read that, I encourage you to take a look.
As we head into Easter, I hope you can take some time to step away from the noise, head outdoors where you can and spend some time with family. It’s a good opportunity to reset and focus on what matters.
Happy Easter,
Tom Kenyon
