Eligibility

(a)    the competition is open to all registered participants who are current financial members of Sporting shooters association of Australia (SSAA) Inc (or an approved full member body) or the National Rifle Association (NRA).
(b)    participants must comply with all licensing, firearm safety, and legal requirements as per relevant state and federal laws.
(c)    juniors may compete only with parental/guardian consent and under direct supervision, where required.

Registration & entry

(a)     the competition period will run from 1st December 2025 through 31st July 2026.
(b)     competitors must register prior to the published closing date. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organisers.
(c)     there are no entry fees for this event.
(d)     shooters may complete a postal shoot entry against any registered match, or match signed by an authorised range officer.

Competition rules

(a)     match contested will be the NRA 3 x 40 Anysight conventional format.,
(b)     postal shoots will be conducted in accordance with the official NRA Smallbore Rifle Rulebook [2025] (or any subsequent updates).
(c)     competitors must use only firearms, ammunition, and equipment that comply with the published event rules.
(d)     the match director’s  / range officer’s decision on rules, safety, and conduct is final.

Conduct & behaviour

(a)     competitors are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
(b)     unsporting behaviour, harassment, or abuse of officials/other competitors will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
(c)     the organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who breaches these standards.

Indemnity & liability

(a)     by entering the competition, participants acknowledge that shooting sports involve inherent risks.
(b)     competitors participate at their own risk and must sign the event waiver prior to competing.
(c)     the organisers, host range, and officials accept no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from participation in the event.

Privacy

(a)     participant details will be used solely for the administration of this event and for future discipline-related communications, unless otherwise requested.
(b)     photography and video recording may occur at some ranges and some matches. By entering, participants consent to their image being used in promotional or reporting materials.

Scoring & awards

(a)     scoring will be conducted by authorised officials only.
(b)     all score sheets must be signed by both the competitor and scorer before submission.
(c)     challenges or protests regarding scores must be lodged in writing to the match director within 30 minutes of scores being posted.
(d)     competitors may enter as many times as they like, however, only this highest score submitted will be counted.
(e)     for grading medals, where a competitor submits multiple scores and breaks grade, the higher grade will be used.
(f)     scores shall be submitted (in full) with a photo of targets and match final results bulletin (where applicable) to the postal shoot contact on the flyer.

Awards and certificates will be provided for:

Off-gun (overall scores): 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Junior u18 (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and junior u15 (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

Results will be ratified and awards / certificates will be distributed from late august 2026.
