On Wednesday, May 14, the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia (SSAA Inc.) took part in an important roundtable meeting in Canberra, hosted by the Shooting Industry Foundation of Australia (SIFA).
The gathering brought together key national organisations including SSAA, Shooters Union Australia, Field & Game Australia, IPSC Australia, Sporting Clays Australia, and the National Rifle Association of Australia.
The purpose of the meeting was to foster greater unity and coordination across the shooting community, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to national firearms policy, advocacy, and representation.
Discussions focused on how representative bodies can work more effectively together to support the interests of licensed shooters, dealers, ranges, industry participants, and sporting shooters right across the country.
The SSAA remains committed to constructive engagement with fellow organisations on matters of shared concern. This collaborative effort will help protect the freedoms of responsible firearms owners and build a stronger voice for our community.
Ongoing planning and discussion will continue in the coming months, and SSAA looks forward to continuing this vital work alongside our peers in the shooting sports and firearms industry.
