Tasmania’s Pontville club near Hobart currently has two ranges available to its 800 members: the TC Simpson range shared by the military and another off Tolosa Street near Glenorchy.

Between the two ranges, benchrest, military rifle, air rifle silhouette, field rifle - 3P and 2P, rimfire rifle, skeet, trap and sporting clays and most forms of pistol shooting are available.

While the shared range has had it fair share of ‘challenges’ created by its co-lease with the AIF, in that shoots cannot conflict with the military’s highly variable roster, the Tolosa Street range is open every Thursday night for air rifle, rimfire and field rifle.
