The exact words of the constitution are as follows: ‘A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon.’ Do you think these words guarantee each person the right to own a gun, or do they protect the right of citizens to form a militia without implying that each individual has the right to own a gun?”
