Dear Member #726
Thank you for your recent visit to discuss gun laws and the effect they might have on reducing serious crime.
I would like to confirm that I believe the New South Wales Government took the opportunity of the Port Arthur disaster to introduce the draconian laws which were always their policy.
Unfortunately, I do not believe that the gun laws will reduce the incidence of these maniacal crimes.
Bob Carr has seriously disadvantaged young gun club members who have the chance to become Olympians of the future.
I also believe the Barry Unsworth agenda is still Labor policy and every opportunity will be taken to screw the law down even further.
There is no risk from sane law-abiding gun owners. Lunatics can use all sorts of weapons to commit crimes against society.
Maybe our approach to the mentally disturbed is the real issue.
Yours sincerely
