2012 Olympic Games shooting news
The 2012 ‘Inspire a Generation’ Olympic Games will be held in London from July 27 to August 12. Nearly 400 competitors from around the world will be competing for gold in 15 shooting events, including rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting. 4 August 2012 - Australia’s Suzy Balogh has qualified for this afternoon’s final of the women’s trap competition at the Royal Artillery Barracks. Balogh, the Athens gold medallist in this event, posted a perfect final qualifying score of 25 for an overall score of 72.

Rhode shoots historic gold
29 July 2012 - Shooter Kimberly Rhode made Olympic Games history for the USA as she won gold in the women's Skeet. The 33-year-old set a new Olympic record in qualifying, with 74 hits out of 75, and went on to equal her own world record with a perfect 25 in the final for a total of 99 in front of a packed shotgun range at the Royal Artillery Barracks.
Disappointing day on the range
29 July 2012 - Day 2 of the shooting program at the Royal Artillery Barracks was not a kind one for the Australian contingent. In the women’s 10 metre air pistol, Dina Aspandiyarova finished in 14th place with a score of 382, while Lalita Yauhleuskaya was back in 40th position with a score of 371.
