July 2011 President message

SSAA National’s 49th AGM

The Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia (SSAA National) Inc held its 49th Annual General Meeting in Perth on the weekend of May 14 and 15. The meeting was attended by SSAA state and territory delegates, as well as staff and observers.

Reports were presented on behalf of the SSAA Media & Publications, Membership, Merchandise (SSAA Store), National and International Lobbying, Hunting, and Disciplines departments. Reports were also presented by the Treasurer and senior board members.

Elections were held for the various board positions on Saturday, May 14, with SSAA National President Bob Green and Treasurer Alf Bastian both being re-elected unopposed. Newly elected board members include Senior Vice President Peter Moran, Junior Vice President Mick Brennan and Secretary Diana Melham.

I would like to thank outgoing Vice Presidents Bob Cooper and Richard Gawned and outgoing Secretary Kaye McIntyre for their years of service to the Association and sporting shooters everywhere.
