Firearm Safety Conference - In the Right Hands

I’d like to bring to members’ attention the SSAA sponsorship of In the Right Hands, an international firearm safety conference being held in New Zealand this month in conjunction with the New Zealand Council of Licensed Firearm Owners (COLFO).

This conference aims to draw attention to the responsible and safe firearm use, motivate quality research into firearm safety, exchange ideas, concepts, strategies and procedures for responsible firearm ownership

The conference aims to motivate quality research into issues surrounding firearm ownership, which is critical to the integrity of the ongoing debate about civilian ownership.

Several eminent international researchers, who are very outspoken about poor quality research emerging from organisations which are philosophically opposed to civilian firearm ownership, will be presenting. These include Dr John Lott and Dr Gary Mauser.

The SSAA will be attending the conference and we will be sharing the findings and outcomes of the conference with our members, both on our website and in future issues of your Australian Shooter.
