Captain jailed for army theft

An Australian army captain who stole 10 rocket launchers and sold them to a man with links to terrorism has been jailed for a maximum of 10 years.
Shane Della-Vedova, 46, of Sydney’s southwest, pleaded guilty to stealing the weapons during his time as an army ammunition technician officer between 2001 and 2003 and selling them to a man named “Harrington”, who allegedly negotiated to sell them to a terrorist group.
Sydney’s District Court imposed a non-parole period of seven years.
