Smith & Wesson chosen as SA Police gun 5AA (Adelaide), 18:00 News, 22/04/2008 06.02pm Some concerns have been raised about the new semi-automatic handgun chosen for our state’s police. Other states use the Glock pistol as does the STAR Force. Gary Burns, Police Commissioner, says the Smith & Wesson was chosen for its safety features. From June, 350 SA Police will trial the pistols and if all goes to plan they'll be introduced. |
