The Feral 500 Conservation Hunting Prize Returns for 2008

The Outdoor Life radio program, in association with Scorpion Global Gun Safes, are pleased to announce an Australia-wide $500 feral cat bounty hunt.

It is well known how much damage feral cats do to our native fauna, especially to ground nesters. It is also well known there are no predators of any significance to feral cats in Australia.

During the month of March 2008, hunters will be encouraged to shoot any feral cats they see while out hunting and then send a photo as proof of the kill to the Outdoor Life Show, 319 High Street, Prahan, Victoria 3181 or email to outdoorlife@hotkey.net.au

The photos will not be published; they are just as proof so the hunter can be entered into the draw. The winner take-all prize is a Scorpion Global 5 firearm gun safe ($250) plus 2 trigger locks ($50), delivered to your door, no matter where you live in Australia. Also included in the prize are 2 Scotch predator calls from Alcock and Pierce Melb ($100), plus $100 cash from the show.

The details of the bounty lottery will be broadcast starting on Wednesday March 5.
The competition closes at the end of March and the winner will be announced on the following Outdoor Life show on 3WBC 94.1FM (Wednesdays 6.45am to 10am).

This is a great opportunity to involve all licensed shooters in conservation hunting.
The Inaugural 2007 Feral Cat Award was a big success and we expect the 2008 ones to be the same.
