Polaris and Stihl enter into brand partnership
For a limited time only, customers will receive a free Stihl MS290 FarmBoss with the purchase of each Polaris Ranger utility vehicle. But, more pertinently, this promotion signals the beginning of a brand partnership between two companies with a rich history in the agricultural markets of both Australasia and abroad. “It is a great brand alignment for both companies,” said Stuart McLean, Polaris marketing and network development manager and former dealer development manager for Stihl Australia. “The markets and philosophies of both companies are so similar, and the products are complementary in many ways. “I’m confident this will be the first step in a long and mutually-beneficial relationship between these two companies.” For more than 50 years, Polaris have been making machines that provide a way out. A break from the routine. An escape from the ordinary. A moment of freedom. Over the years, both farmers and enthusiasts have come to appreciate that nothing rides like a Polaris. Snowmobiles came first in 1954 and quickly established a track record for advanced engineering. All-terrain vehicles followed in 1985 and since their introduction have set the standard for performance and innovation. Then in 1997, the Polaris Ranger was born, creating a whole new class of smooth-riding off-road utility vehicles. Over the past 22 years, Polaris has manufactured more than 2.5 million ATVs and Ranger utility vehicles and is a recognised leader in ATV technology and innovation. Stihl Australia shares a similarly long and illustrious history after becoming part of the Stihl network in 1971 with responsibility for marketing and distribution in Australia and the Pacific Islands. Stihl Australia was the first subsidiary company established by the Stihl Group outside Europe and is currently the sixth largest in annual turnover. Stihl distribute through a network of 430 Specialist Dealers in both rural and metropolitan markets. To buy Stihl equipment is to buy a total package of product and service. The Stihl range of chainsaws and garden care products is only sold through specialist dealers who carry products, spare parts and accessories and have workshop staff trained by Stihl technicians. “Stihl and Polaris are a great fit,” said Robert Ross, national marketing manager for Stihl Australia. “There’s a lot of synergies between the two companies, not least of which that they both have a long history of innovation and are regarded as manufacturers of industry-leading products in their respective fields.” For more information, visit www.polarisindustries.com.au or www.stihl.com.au |
