Bananacoast Benchrest Championship 2007
25-26 August 2007

Saturday August 25 saw 51 shooters line up for the 100-yard Light Varmint event after 20 inches of rain had fallen on the range in the previous week. Despite the weather competitors came from Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Tamworth, Armidale, Warwick and Brisbane.

From the first detail it was obvious that the shooters were here to win, with Paul Sullivan shooting an excellent .092. The other small groups went to Paul Sullivan .147, Nick Catlin .150, Karl Kuehn .102 and Richard Drozdowski .131. The 100-yard LV was won by Richard Drozdowski with two ones and three twos for .2038, 2nd Nick Catlin .2062 and 3rd Paul Sullivan .2154.

In intermittent light showers the 200-yard event went well with our new moving backers working flawlessly. Small groups were as follows: Paul Sullivan .371, Nick Valentine .391, Ann Brummell .331, Michael Thompson from Coffs Harbour .291, and then Tony Allinson with a screamer group of .196.
