National Combined Services Championships 2008

Hosted by SSAA (ACT) MFC, Majura Range, Canberra
17-19 October 2008

Range open all week for rifle practice. Practice will also be available for pistol.

Friday October 17
7.30am – Pistol scrutineering
8.30am – Briefing
9am – Commence competition

Class 1 and 2 Pistols: Class 1 to be shot first. Competitors may shoot both classes.
Event 1 – Match 9 - 50 metres long range deliberate Class 1 Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd, Class 2 Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd, and Junior 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 2 – Match 7 - Standing rapid fire 25m, Class 1 Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd, Class 2 Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd, and Junior 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 3 – Match 1 - 3P core (Shot 25m, 15m, 7m) Graded - Class 1 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grand Master, Master, A Grade, B Grade, C Grade and Class 2 Grand Master, Master, A Grade, B Grade, C Grade 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Junior 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 4 – Match 5 - Kneeling deliberate 15m, Class 1 Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd, Class 2 Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd, and Junior 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 5 – Local event TBA. Medals 1st, 2nd & 3rd
This competition includes medals for Teams 1st, 2nd & 3rd; Top Gun, 1st and 2nd; Runner-up and Top Gun Junior.  Top Gun and Teams will be based on the combined scores of all Class 1 Pistol Events (1,2,3 & 4).

4pm – Rifle scrutineering
7pm – National combined services sub-committee AGM

Saturday October 18
7am – Sign on and rifle scrutineering
8.30am – Briefing
9am – Commence competition

Event 1 – Match 9 - 300m deliberate, Standard Rifle (Graded) Grand Master, Master, A Grade, B Grade, C Grade 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Junior 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Accurised Rifle 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 2 – Match 1 - 3P Core event (Shot 300m, 200m, 100m) Standard Rifle (Graded) Grand Master, Master, A Grade, B Grade, C Grade 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Junior 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Accurised Rifle 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 3 – Match 4 - Rapid B 100m, Standard Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Juniors 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Accurised Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 4 – Match 5 - Snap A, Standard rifle 100m Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Juniors 1st, 2nd & 3rd

7pm – Dinner

Sunday October 19
7.30am – Scrutineering
8.30am – Briefing
9am – Commence competition

Event 5 – Match 18 - .310 and .22 trainers shot as separate classes Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd and Juniors 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 6 – Match 14 - Long range sniper event 500m, Class F1 and F2 on standard Core target Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd in both classes, and Class T and J on Mini Core Target Open 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Event 7 – Local event TBA. Medals 1st, 2nd & 3rd
This competition includes medals for Teams 1st, 2nd & 3rd; Top Gun, 1st and 2nd; Runner-up and Top Gun Junior. Top Gun and Teams will be based on the combined scores of all Standard Rifle Events (1,2,3 & 4).

Accommodation
Caravan park and motel accommodation available close to range, camping facilities available on range with showers, toilets.

All Competitors to receive a Patch and the evening meal Saturday night and will be eligible to participate in a draw for a SSAA Swag kindly donated by SSAA Inc. Cheques should be made payable to: SSAA (ACT) MFC
