Crime the problem, not lawful gun ownership: VIC Police

Victorian Police have ruled out a link between lawful gun ownership and fire arm related crime. It comes after reports some Victorian country communities are armed to the teeth, with more guns than residents. Police say the main problem with guns is in Melbourne's north western suburbs, not in rural communities. Swifts Creek in East Gippsland has been found to have the greatest concentration of gun ownership in the state.
