Facey outfoxes rival at shoot

Results of the Forbes Sporting Shooters .22-calibre Rimfire Rifle shoot held on Sunday, December 6, the weather was hot with a light breeze. This shoot was a Fox Target shoot held over 25m with a maximum score of 280 points, using a .22-calibre rimfire field or target rifle filled with a scope, also a 50m Crow Target shoot with a maximum score of 250 points.
There were eight shooters in attendance at this shoot, Wayne Facey, John Beard, Alan Jones, Jacob Toohey, Mall Toohey, Bruce Howard, Ky Facey and Robert Darcy. Results of the 25m Fox shoot were Wayne Facey 279/280, Bruce Howard 275/280 (target rifle), John Beard 226/280, Alan Jones 246/280, Jacob Toohey 58/280 (Junior), MattToohey 133/280 (field rifle), Ky Facey 248/250 (Junior), Robert Darcy 241/250 (Junior, target rifle).
The results of the 50m Crow Target shoot were Matt Toohey 101/250, John Beard 154/250, Alan Jones 190/250, Jacob Toohey 51/250 (Junior, field rifle), Robert Darcy 233/250 (Junior, target rifle).
The next shoot for the Forbes SSAA .22-calibre Rimfire Rifle will be on Sunday, December 20, starting at 10am at the Bedgerebong Road Range. Turn right off the Bedgerebong Road, onto Dr Young Drive, the range is at the northern end of that road. All target shooters are welcome to attend these shoots. The next shoot for the Forbes SSAA Sporting Clays will be their monthly shoot tomorrow, Sunday, December 13, starting at 1pm. It will be a 75-target 5-Stand off-the-gun shot at the Bedgerebong Road Range. This is the last clay shoot for this year. Nibbles and drinks will be held after the shoot when all the gear is put away. Any person wishing to obtain a longarm firearm licence can contact Wayne Facey on 6852 4059, Norm Brook 6853 6205, Tony Bratton 6852 3349 to do a firearm safe shooting assessment course, which is a requirement for a firearm licence application.
