Shooting competition is still wide open as schools prepare for the fourth and final round of the Wodonga Secondary Schools’ shooting competition.
Wodonga Catholic College claimed last year’s inaugural title and is in a strong position to claim this year’s trophy, to be decided on August 12 at the Kluges Road Range.
“But each school is a little bit stronger and anyone can still win,” organiser Stuart James said.
Chasing Wodonga Catholic College is Wodonga Middle Years College, Wodonga Senior Secondary College and Tallangatta Secondary College.
James said the individual trophies were “well and truly up for grabs”.
The competition has been organised by Colonel Max Grimshaw of the Wadsworth Barracks with support from the Sporting Shooters’ Association and the Wodonga Field and Game Association.
Events include shotgun and .22 calibre rifle.
