On Saturday July 4, an IRB competition was held at the Armidale Pistol Club. Tamworth junior shooter Mitchell Taller won in difficult conditions with a score of 71 0.23 from a maximum possible score of 750.75. John Harrison came second with 682.17. Raymond Vasu in his first attempt at IRB score 591 .08.
Sunday July 5 saw a 100-yard Centrefire grouping competition held at Woodlawn. John Harrison placed first with .258 MOA, followed by Richard Drozdowski .4076, Bob Cook .4334, Joe Sorenson .6270, Casandra Fulagar .9108 and John Harrison shot the smallest group .165.
This weekend a 50m rimfire hunter will be held on Sunday. Gates open at 9am shooting to start at 930am. General enquiries should be made to branch president Grahame Walsh on 6772-4031 (after hours).
