Last weekend the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia held the NSW State titles of single action shooting at Narrabri.
Ten single action shooters from Cowra made the trip up to Narrabri to compete.
On Friday side events were shot and then six main stages on Saturday, four on Sunday.
There were four State title divisions and five side event winning shooters from the Cowra camp.
Jesse Lea Medway notched up a very impressive medal winning tally.
Her tally included top lady shooter overall; top junior girl category; first place in the Pat Garrett side event for ladies and; first place in Speed rifle for ladies.
Congratulations Jesse this was an excellent achievement, you are not only the junior state champion for ladies state champion as well. Truly an outstanding result.
Our next State champion title went to Mark Dawe-Wilson in the junior boys category.
Mark also had a great weekend of shooting.
Congratulations Mark this was a very good result, well done.
Sam Medway had a pretty good weekend but one bad stage on Saturday took him out of the running of overall State champion.
However on the Friday side event day Sam was running hot taking out first place in the Pat Garrett for mens, the Pure Speed and Speed Rifle.
Sam displayed some very fine shooting overall, good stuff Sam.
Last but not least the fourth State champion title Men’s overall winner went to a very worthy shooter who played the game shooting very consistently over the two days, Brett Medway.
This is a top effort by Brett the title of NSW State champion is a very good trophy to add to his big congratulations to all the winners from the Cowra Club.
The other members didn’t end up in the winner’s circle but all enjoyed a fabulous weekend of shooting.
