Red fox is one of biggest threats to Australia’s native fauna
Channel 9 (Brisbane), Mornings with Kerri-Anne, 17/04/2009 09:14am
Kerri-Anne Kennerley says the red fox is one of the biggest threats to Australia’s native fauna. Kennerley introduces Ben Britton from Wild Animal Encounters, who brings a red fox onto the set. Britton says foxes cause problems in Australia and have resulted in the extinction in a number of smaller mammal species. Britton says foxes are classed as a pest and they can be shot and says in the 1970s Australia exported about 15 million Fox pelts overseas. Britton says this was a ‘win win situation’.
