We have the irrational fear of law-abiding citizens owning firearms (“600,000 guns out there”, Herald Sun, April 9).
Licensed shooters are probably one of the most law-abiding segments in society as they must pass a police background check and stay free of any criminal offences to keep their licences.
John Crook should concentrate on the crooks, yet he rarely if ever mentions attacking criminal use of firearms.
