Crocodile hunting proposal to be put before Environment Minister today
ABC Kimberley (Broome), 06:30 News, 06/04/2009 06:31am
A new proposal for game hunting of problem crocodiles will be put before the Federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett today, following a push from David Gulpulil, actor, and Mick Pitman, taxidermist, to the government to relax endangered species laws. Pitman says egg and skin hunters leave most of the animal to rot, while game hunting would more efficiently use the animal and would provide a local community income stream.
