Collectors ABC1, 800pm. Over the few years it has been on our screens, this look at the diverse objects people collect has uncovered a wide selection of fairly bizarre hoards, so when the ABC describes this week ‘s episode as “eclectic”, you know you ‘re in for a treat. There ‘s a young man with a collection of Transformers toys worth over $100,000 even working to have a law changed so he could bring one that resembles a handgun into Australia; a sublime collection of Bugatti designs from the National Gallery of Victoria including their iconic automobiles; and a father and son collection of over 3000 objects carved from unique desert timber mulga wood.
