Chapman fires to set new club record

SSAA Wagga Wagga congratulates Greg Chapman who set a new factory rifle club record for a 50-yard five-shot rimfire group. His group of five shots measuring 0.148 inch (that’s 3.76mm for those too young to remember inches) centre to centre for the widest shots is truly outstanding and almost halves the previous record.
Sunday, March 15, was a rimfire 50-yard group event. Scores (average size of group) were: Factory Rifle: Greg Chapman 0.410; Maddi Zuliani (junior) 0.515; John Buik 0.730; Greg Hannon 0.779; Garry Moore 0.968; Ian Hannon (junior) 1.271; David Sides 1 .393 Steve Glover 1 .470.
Target Rifle: Robert Cheetham 0.523; Carlo Zuliani 0.535 (almost as good as daughter’s result); Steve Young 0.629.
Saturday was a Shotgun event with Arthur Robinson breaking 38 and David Sides 33 from 50 clays.
Saturday is a Shotgun shoot from 1.30pm and Sunday is a Military Field Rifle shoot from 10am.
