Compere Steve Martin mentions that the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia have published a cookbook called the Cook’s Companion, full of recipes for wild animals. Tim Bannister, Spokesman, Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia, says the book educates people about how to cook and eat game meat and he says all the recipes were collected from members of the association. They sent a copy to every Federal politician and Kevin Rudd, Australian Prime Minister, wrote back congratulating them on the book. Professor Ross Garnaut, Economist, Federal Government climate change advisor, has suggested that Australians should eat more kangaroo. Bannister says free range and game meat tastes far better than farmed food.
