SSAA Wagga Wagga on NSW firearms amnesty

ABC Riverina (Wagga Wagga), Mornings, 03/03/2009 09:20am

Compere Simon Wallace interviews Arthur Robertson, president Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia (SSAA) Wagga Wagga Branch, about the three-month gun amnesty being run by the New South Wales Police. Robertson says there has been a lot of misinformation around and people have previously been too scared to hand unregistered firearms in. Robertson lists some of the unusual firearms handed in, such as antiques. Robertson says if a firearm has been used in a crime the Police may use discretion on whether charges will be laid.
