Compere Kieran Weir says he was shocked to learn there are a million feral camels in outback Australia. McHugh says the animals are classed as a problem because we haven’t thought of something to do with them, but they’re really an attribute to the country. He says we should be looking to farm them. They discuss how camels can be farmed. McHugh refutes claims we are exporting camels back to Saudi Arabia on any scale. He says the Federal Government should get behind camel farming. He outlines his experience with camel breeding and farming. They discuss the quality of camel meat and other products that can be extracted from the animal. McHugh describes how easy it is to domesticate camels.
