Rockingham and Mandurah feral deer culling program stopped

6PR (Perth), 09:00 News, 14/11/2008 09:01am

A culling program aimed at controlling feral deer around Rockingham and Mandurah has been stopped because of concerns that trail-bike riders may be accidentally shot. The Department of Environment and Conservation has stopped the cull because motorcyclist may ignore warning signs. Tim Mullany, deer shooter, Marapana Wildlife Park, says there is a real need for the deer to be controlled.
