Wrong target

Peter Jewett asked what had gone wrong with John Howard ’s gun buy-back scheme (The Advertiser, 7/10/08). The answer is simple. The wrong group of people were targeted. Instead of hitting the law-abiding firearm owner, those who operate outside the law should be hit harder.
