Goat cull in Murraylands this week

A goat problem in the Murraylands conservation parks has prompted plans for a cull this weekend. The Department of Environment says Karte and Peebinga will be closed from this Sunday to the following Saturday to carry out the cull. Murray-Mallee district ranger Donna Nussio says goats and possibly foxes and rabbits will be killed mainly by the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia.
