Right on target

I’d like to congratulate Graeme Phillips on his well written "Batting for a duck" article (Sunday Tasmanian, January 20). It was full of common sense and fact, something that is very lacking in the anti-duck hunting argument. Hunting organisations such as Field and Game, the Australian Deer Association and the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia are working year-in, year-out for wetland conservation, feral animal control and other projects to further conservation issues.
Maybe the anti-duck hunting brigade should concentrate their efforts on worthy causes such as saving our Tassie devil, wedgies and other species and environments that really need help.
