Pedersoli performance at 14th European MLAIC Championships

The 14th European Muzzle Loaders Association International Committee (MLAIC) Championships was held in Hamina, Finland, from August 21 to 28, 2011. After each international meeting, Davide Pedersoli scans the results and celebrates the successes of its products in the hands of the shooters of many nations. This year, with the event being limited to the European area, there were not as many shooters as would normally attend the World Championships, but the number of medals won was outstanding. Pedersoli shooters won 36 medals, of which there were 13 gold, nine silver and 14 bronze - a tribute to the skills of the shooters who stepped on the podium.

The guns that excelled this time were the classics of the Pedersoli line; models that have become famous, almost immortal, such as the Le Page pistols in flintlock or percussion; the Mortimer flintlock and percussion rifles and shotguns; the military flintlock muskets; the Bristlen A Morges, Jäger Target and Württembergischen rifles; and now, adding the most recent reproduced models, such as the Gibbs and Swiss Match rifles and the Remington Pattern revolver.

It is with great satisfaction that the Gardone Valtrompia company sees the appreciation of the shooters for Pedersoli marked guns. We sincerely thank and wish future success to all the shooters.

We further wish success to all those in the muzzleloading world, and to the relevant organisations, seeking to evaluate the possibility to include this sport, already widespread in the whole world, into the Olympic Games. Adding the muzzleloading sports to the currently run target shooting disciplines would create a noticeable media impact. Some of the most representative’s muzzleloading disciplines could be chosen to show the fascinating characteristics of this sport - a real union between the antique and modern times - two expressions of the Olympic spirit.
